Make-up and hair for home-coming.?

Okay, so my schools home-coming dance is tomorrow night. I'm going to the store tonight to get some stuff, and I need some help with make-up.

I'm going to be wearing a bright red, strapless dress with sparklies on it. I need make-up for that. I have a round face, hazel eyes, and pale skin. (pasty white my friends call me) My style is goth/rocker, so I'm also trying to incorporate that into it so I'm not OVERLY girly.

As for my hair.. it's black and about shoulder length. I have bangs that are a bit past my eyes. Maybe a style that would hide my thin neck a bit?

your question is adorable, ok let's start with the eyes.. silver would work perfect if your dress is sparkley, dont go with red b/c you don't want to look like a clown! eye liner is ideal or making your eyes more noticable. unless your skin complexion is blotchy or you have break outs you really dont need any coverup. if it is definately go with the lightest shade if you are pasty white, powder concealers work best for me, as I myself have fairer skin and don't like the streaks that wet concealer leaves behind. your lips could be red like your dress or a clear gloss to keep the focus on your dress and eyes. keep it simple tho, you want the focus of color on your dress since red is so strong. if you want the focus off your neck keep your hair down and curl it to give it volume.

i think leave you're hair down and for your bangs sort of push them to the side. i kinda have a hairstyle like that too, and whenever i want my bangs to looks like good i sort of push them to the side if i was an almost classy-ish look. what i think you should do is find a friend with a straightener if you dont have one, even if your hair is naturally straight (yeah i do that haha) but just for the bangs. if you wanna incorporate that 'goth/rocker' look, eyeliner. eyeliner eyeliner eyeliner i'd think. it'd help if you wanna incorporate that. but not like overly major because then it wouldn't be so great and you'd look like heavy eyed.

i like when its slightly curled. its not to curly but u can see curls and its not like its perfectly straight. ull need to just curl it a little bit wit a curling iron

African American women should look more beautiful if they tried hair with loose curls. Just curl it at the end part and make it loose. That is all. Trust me, it's cool!

New year, new outcome?

I recently (5-6 months), have been changing a lot, not in the body way but the style way, I always used to wear black, black jeans, black shirts, had black hair for a while. This year I really started coming out, I have natural light hair, so I dyed my hair back, I cut it short, but now its getting long again, its almost at the middle of my back. ;p my hair grows really fast, I cut it a little under my ears less then a year ago. But I really want a new style, a new something, haircut, make up, idk.

Clothes: For you I would shop at Garage, American Eagle, Hollister, Abercrombie And Fitch etc... These stores basically carry everything! It depends if you want the "preppy" look or the "not preppy" look. If you want the preppy look i would suggest American Eagle and Hollister, but if you don't want to look very preppy Garage and Abercrombie and Fitch are perfect.

You could go for sophisticated edgy, get a sleek hairstyle with the hair out of your face. Fun eye shadow and natural lip. Knee length skirts... cute shoes. Just an idea! Happy New Year!

Anyone know a good hairstyle for a party?

I'm going to a party in New Orleans and it's kinda formal (all the guys are wearing khaki) and I'm wearing a blue and black mid-length dress. I want to do something with my hair but I've never been good at fixing hair. It has to be easy to do and not require alot of stuff. All I have is a blowdryer, a crappy straightner, and a few bobbypins. Don't forget I'll be in a small hotel room with four other girls trying to get ready for the same party in a limited amount of time depending on our band director's mood. I have brown shoulder length hair and an oval face. Thanks for any help you can give me.

P.S. please give me pictures if you can. Also, easy to read instructions for the person who knows nothing whatsoever about hair styles would help.

Maybe pull it up in a high ponytail with a few decorated bobby pins here and there...Or if its really formal, maybe google some other updos.
