Question on styling razor hair?

I have razored layered hair, the longest is right about at my shoulder blades, maybe a tiny bit longer. I've heard of teasing but im not sure i want to do that, because i've heard its hard to get out, breaks and damages hair etc.

I just want some of the layers to stand out a little more. I've been putting wax on the ends of each chunk of layers and that works ok but im looking for other ideas. The hairstylist told me to just use some hairspray and mess it up but then it was too wild. This is kind of what i mean..

Teasing is ok, as long as you're not using too much heat or yanking it out. Hair is durable, I had razored for a while but mine was a bit longer, I used mostly wax, or a hard spiker gel in random chunks to get it to lay down but still show layers. Find a good leave in conditioner for your hair, it can add more of a control, lay it down some so you can still use hairspray to mess it up a bit. Also, when you add color throughout different pieces, it will add more lighting and show more layers. Doesn't have to be a bright color, something that blends but sticks out like a dark red, blue, purple, etc.

you can use a flat iron and straighten your hair. then take a blow dryer and put it on COLD and blow your hair, it makes your layers stand out. i liked it messy it was cute but maybe u could make it messy and calm it down with your hands.
