For some reason when I was getting my hair braided by one girl (I'm a male), my cornrows would be pretty long, (top of my shoulders). A lot of hair comes out when I take my hair down, but my cornrows always turned out to be the same length. But when I got my hair braided by another girl, my cornrows stopped close to the bottom of my neck. And when she braided it again, my cornrows turned ou to be that same length (but it lasted longer). It's weird, because all I had the second girl do was rebraid my hair in the same style. How come when the other (second) girl braids my hair, it doesn't turn out to be the same length, but it lasts longer?
Black people: Questions about braids (Cornrows)?
It is the tension of the braid. One person can braid extremely low on tension, while the other braids at a higher tension, if that makes sense. Other than that, if you are getting your hair rebraided, it could be that your hair was already stretched (well, the wave pattern of your hair) and the other girl just rebraided.

Are you washing your hair during this period? It could be your haircare before you get your hair done. Length doesnt/shouldnt change by how you braid unless one person braids thicker than the other.

Black people: Questions about braids (Cornrows)?
Yeah, i could be that one girl just uses up more hair for one braid than the other. %26amp; the smaller/shorter braids r, the longer they last so that could explalin why ur shorter ones last longer.
